Privacy policy

Raymond Terrace Marketplace Newsagency (ABN 49 707 977 235) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

  • Order details — your name, email, phone, delivery address, and what you bought.
  • Payment details — handled entirely by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Account details — if you create an account, your email and a securely hashed password.
  • Site usage — pages viewed and general location, so we can see what's working and what isn't.

Why we collect it

To take payment, pack and send your order, answer your questions, meet our tax and record-keeping obligations, and — only if you've opted in — send you news about new releases and pre-orders. You can unsubscribe from any marketing email in one click.

Who we share it with

Only the services needed to run the shop:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Australia Post — delivery and tracking.
  • Our email provider — order confirmations and, if you've opted in, newsletters.

We do not sell your personal information, and we never will.

Where it lives

Your data is stored on servers in Australia. Some of the providers above may process limited data overseas in the course of providing their service.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct anything wrong, or delete your account. Email admin@rtnews.com.au and we'll action it within 30 days.

Some records — invoices in particular — we're legally required to keep for a period even after an account is closed.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, tell us first so we can fix it. If we don't resolve it, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and understand how the site is used. Blocking them in your browser will break the cart.

Young people

Trading card games appeal to all ages. If you're under 18, please have a parent or guardian make the purchase. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children without a parent's involvement — if you believe we have, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

We'll update this page if our practices change, and the date below will change with it.
